For the owner of Britannia English Language Centre July 2012 was a very fruitful one. Eduardo´s innovative and unique TOEFL Teacher Training Preparation Program at Bethel Language School was a total success. In two and half weeks eight teachers from Santo Domingo high schools  prepared themselves – with Eduardo´s help – for the international TOEFL English Test. This is now the test all public school English teachers must pass if they wish to qualify with the Ecuadorian Ministry of Education. This new service, which is taught within the TEACHER TRAINING FLUENCY PROJECT, is now being developed further at Britannia English Language Centre. It is specifically aimed at English teachers, and is therefore English for Specific Purposes.
Eduardo is an experienced teacher who has taught and trained as a translator and interpreter in Spanish and English for over 15 years. Eduardo is a dual British/Chilean national who was brought up in the UK. Eduardo Salgado says “I am sure that this TOEFL Test Preparation is something that Santo Domingo English teachers have been waiting for, for a very long time. At Britannia English Language Centre, our preparation is well thought-out and we have years of training experience behind us, and this will most definitely assist teachers´ overall test performances in TOEFL or equivalent tests.”
The teachers receive a Diploma and if they pass their TOEFL international examination they also receive a certificate from them. Brittannia English Language Centre is located next to the Provincial Health Directorate (Dirección Provincial de Salud), on Calle Río Zamora, Coop. 30 de Julio, sector 3, entrance at Clinica Araujo, on the left hand side of the road.
